Churchills Fishing Afternoon
Churchills of Dereham organised a fishing afternoon at Wensum Valley Golf and Country Club on Sunday 5th July 2009. Philip Pledger, Mike Smith and Jim Gill from Mid Norfolk School of Fly Fishing were on hand from 2pm, giving tuition to both the novices and more experienced fishermen and a great afternoon was had by all.
After a few hours fishing it was time for food. Philip was well prepared and cooked up some lovely dishes with the caught fish including a spicy cajun dish and a zingy citrus plateful for the hungry menfolk to consume along with copious amounts of food brought along by the wives and friends who arrived at 6pm.
Mid Norfolk School of Fly Fishing kindly donated money collected during the day, from Churchills of Dereham, to The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
